AVERE is the only European association representing and advocating for electromobility at both EU and national levels, on behalf of the entire ecosystem. This includes national associations, industrial stakeholders (from both the vehicles and charging infrastructure side) EV users, academics, public authorities and more. AVERE and it’s 65+ members have set themselves the goal of achieving entirely emission-free sales of light and heavy-duty vehicles by 2035, in order to achieve complete decarbonization of road transport by 2050.

This includes national associations, industrial stakeholders (from both the vehicles and charging infrastructure side), EV users, academics, public authorities and more. AVERE and its 65+ members have set themselves the goal of achieving entirely emission-free sales of light and heavy-duty vehicles by 2035, in order to achieve complete decarbonization of road transport by 2050.

To support and lead its new funded projects, the Brussels-based AVERE, the European Association for Electromobility, is looking for a Project Manager to reinforce its office in Brussels, starting at the earliest convenience. As an integral part of AVERE's growing team, you'll lead our participation in European projects - notably Horizon Europe and LIFE - and help secure new ones.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Following projects under Horizon Europe and coordinating AVERE’s contributions in them
  • Engaging in European consortia collecting key data on E-mobility in Europe, such as the European Alternative Fuels Observatory (EAFO)
  • Identifying new project opportunities or partnerships for AVERE to participate in
  • Liaising with AVERE’s membership all throughout Europe to gather relevant input
  • Working with AVERE communications and policy teams to leverage European projects’ work to support our policy agenda
  • Supporting the organization of AVERE’s dissemination role
  • Representing AVERE in a variety of stakeholder fora, as well as at external conferences and events

Requirements:

  • Passion for the electrification of European Transport
  • Proven experience in contributing to projects under Horizon Europe, ideally regarding grids/energy infrastructure, batteries, or decarbonised transport
  • A strong academic track record and and/or experience working on drafting studies or research papers in a think tank, NGO, corporate or consultancy environment
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written) - knowledge of additional languages is an asset
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership skills, taking the lead across all aspects of our project and scientific work
  • Strong interpersonal skills - ideally first experience working in membership-based organisations
