AVERE and its members are highly committed to maintaining fire safety in parking areas and beyond. As part of these efforts, AVERE has teamed up with FEEDS (Forum for European Electrical Domestic Safety) to create a Safe Electrification Check List for Electric Vehicles Charging Points.
This checklist aims to provide installers and users with key information regarding the electrical safety of charging points. The checklist encompasses recommendations for users and installers before, during and after installing recharging points in buildings.
The checklist does not substitute the standards, national regulations and recommendations but focuses on the elements that need the most attention in terms of electrical safety when installing a charging point.
AVERE continues to advocate greater electrification of our road transport sector through legislation while maintaining high safety standards. If properly implemented, electrification of road transport can provide a unique opportunity to increase fire safety.
