The webinar will be hosted in collaboration with DG MOVE. It will start with the introduction of Axel Volkery (DG MOVE, Deputy Head of Unit, Sustainable and Intelligent Transport Unit) and cover:

• The presentation by Sarah Drexler (DG MOVE, Transport investment Unit) and Aleksandra Klenke (DG MOVE, Sustainable and Intelligent Transport Unit) on the CEF Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Facility as the EU funding tool supporting the deployment of recharging and refuelling infrastructure for zero emissions vehicles as well as in ports and airports along the TEN-T network. The particular focus will be put on opportunities for projects in Cohesion countries.
• Followed by a panel discussion moderated by Janos Ungar (AVERE, Member of the Board) with Central and Eastern European stakeholders on how they face challenges and who will share their views of the current approach of EU funding for alternative fuels infrastructure under CEF. The discussion will also focus on complementing financial instruments available (e.g. by the European Investment Bank) as well as EAFO’s role analyzing on regional conditions that effect the evaluation of applications.

The event will provide opportunities for exchange and questions for the participants during the interactive session.
